HEALTHTECH ANNOUNCES AGREEMENT WITH CALIFORNIA CRITICAL ACCESS HOSPITAL NETWORK

FRANKLIN, TENN. (October 18, 2011) — HealthTech Management Services, Inc. has signed an agreement with the California Critical Access Hospital Network (CCAHN) effective September 30th.  Under the agreement CCAHN will gain access to consulting services and resources to assist its member hospitals with maintaining compliance with the Medicare and Medicaid Conditions of Participation and Title 22 requirements, including support in the areas of credentialing and quality assurance.

“We are excited to offer CCAHN access to HealthTech’s consulting services and resources,” said Derek Morkel, HealthTech CEO.  “We bring 40 years of experience in working with community hospitals, and provide a wide range of resources and expertise to help hospitals achieve clinical excellence and improve operational results.  Our clinical consultants are experienced professionals attuned to the specialized needs, resources and challenges of effectively operating community hospitals.  We are delighted to make them available to CCAHN as resources for the community hospitals it serves.”

CCAHN is a statewide organization which exists for the purpose of creating collaborative working relationships among California critical access hospitals to strengthen its members through sharing resources, education, and innovation. Through membership in CCAHN, California critical access hospitals can access California rural health plan designated entity network services.

“The new agreement with HealthTech Management Services is vitally important to our member hospitals,” said Raymond Hino, CCAHN Chairman.  “It will allow CCAHN to fulfill Federal CAH Conditions of Participation requirements for many hospitals that have no other means of meeting the QA and credentialing oversight requirements.  Having worked with the HealthTech Management Services team in the past, I am very knowledgeable about the level of professionalism and experience that HealthTech brings to our network.  I cannot be more pleased with this new relationship and the availability of these new services to our members.”
